Although SIUH/South is located in NYC, our ED functions with the "feel" of a suburban ED with strong ties to the medical staff and a high regard for customer satisfaction.  Our practice setting allows our residents to focus on ED patient flow, safe transfer of patients, and managing critically ill patients without immediate access to in-house consultants.

Our strength lies in our profession and nursing staff.  Most of the our staff has well over a decade of ED experience; this level of experience sets the groundwork for a rich and robust educational experience for our residents.
